Steel Beam Clamp

Steel Beam Clamp

Beam clamps (also known as girder clamps) allow for repositioning of the bottom flange of
I beams. They generally have a steel plate scissor action mechanism that is adjusted and
pre-tensioned using a hand-operated lead screw. These are equipped with a lifting eye or
spool pin in the center, which may subsequently be linked to a sling or hoist. Beam clamps are widely employed in situations where a specialized lifting point or crane is impractical. They can also be employed when access around a beam is restricted due to sharp girder edges.
